The warranty is valid only for the specific device repaired (Identified by IMEI) and the original name on the invoice; it is not transferable across devices or if the device is sold or given to another individual. Please note: Phone calls do not extend your warranty. The 30-day warranty period will not be extended under any circumstance.
iBroken Canada warrants all Device repairs for a period of thirty days (“30”) from the date of purchase on the invoice. If the part should malfunction, please contact iBroken Canada (Subject to terms below and notes on your invoice). If your device had qualified for a warranty at the time of repair, then it would need to be examined by an iBroken Canada technician. If it is determined that the part has malfunctioned, it will be repaired at no charge at the Store address on your invoice, no exceptions will be made. Warranty only applies to the part repaired and not any other functions or components of the device.
What’s not covered by the Warranty/ What voids the Warranty?
In fairness, our warranties do not cover the following:
- Liquid damaged devices.
- Physical damage
- Subsequent damage to the device, including, a cracked, chipped, scratched or smashed screen and/or LCD.
- Issues relating to the device’s motherboard or any other underlying issues.
- Issues which are unrelated to the original repair.
- Additional faults that develop after the original repair.
- Any software related issues.
- Services such as; cleaning, dent removal, and bend removal.
- Loss of data (please backup your data prior to repair)
- The Warranty does not cover the replacement if lost or stolen.
- Warranty will not apply to any LCD that shows signs of impact (Lines/Black spots) even if the glass isn’t broken.
- A Warranty sticker will be placed on the inside of your device. Tampering with or removing this warranty sticker will render the warranty null & void.
If the device shows evidence of being damaged as a result of excessive corrosion, current, heat, moisture or vibration, misapplication, misuse, abuse, flood, fire, earthquake, other external causes or operating conditions outside of iBroken Canada’s control.
WARRANTY is VOID if the customer performs any software modifications not limited to restore, updating software on the device, downloading unauthorized or unapproved software, viruses, malware, spyware, or attempts to modify any software.
iBroken Canada ’s employees reserve the right to VOID any warranty if any of the above issues are present after the customer’s last repair.
Does warranty cover me if I break my screen again?
Our warranty is not the same as insurance. For example, if your Device is dropped, hit, bumped or if the screen mysteriously breaks while sitting and not being used even if it’s on the same day of the repair it is not covered under the Warranty Policy. When we return the device to the customer it isn’t broken and it becomes the responsibility of the owner of the said device, not iBroken Canada Inc.
Does every repair come with a warranty?
No, there are circumstances where a warranty will not be offered on a repair. These circumstances are:
- Devices that are unaccountable (unable to have pre-test performed by the technician).
- Devices that have bends, dents or twisted bodies.
- Devices with liquid damaged.
Do accessories come with a warranty?
Accessories purchased do not come with a warranty from iBroken, therefore, are not covered under our warranty policy. Some accessory manufacturers have their own warranty which can be found on their websites. Although cases and tempered glass offer extra shock and impact protection from drops, we can’t guarantee that they will prevent any and all damage to the device. You will purchase at your own discretion and no guarantees are implied by any of iBroken Canada’s employees. All accessories & repairs are final sales, no refunds, returns or exchanges will be given.
Does warranty cover hardware issues?
Our Warranty does not cover hardware problems on Apple Devices such as but not limited to the infamous “Touch Disease” that has plagued the iPhone 6 and iPhone 6 Plus models. The problem is mostly found on the iPhone 6 Plus models which either stops the touch screen function completely or intermittently. The issue is on the phones main board on the rear where the touch I.C. chip comes loose (breaks the solder joints) from the board due to drops or bends on the phones frame causing the touch to become unresponsive. A simple screen replacement will not fix this issue.
It usually is easy to diagnose the problem simply by powering off the device and powering it back on. During boot-up, the screen will display flickering gray lines at the top of the display while booting with the apple logo. Sometimes bending the top right portion of the screen will enable your touch function to work temporarily but we advise against this because it can break the touch I.C. chip further and stop the touch function permanently. If you experience these symptoms then you, unfortunately, have the touch I.C. problem which we cannot refund or replace your screen repair if this happens before, during or after our screen repair.
